Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competes within the UFC flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded an additional medal in the year 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, a gold in 2011, and won the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia began her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior strike techniques and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch by knees on the body. Antonina was offered the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on the split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
